Well, I am just getting this blog started. There is still a lot of work to do to get everything how I want it. I do have to get up in 6 hours though, because I am going on a 17 mile hike in Oak Openings Park tomorrow. So, I will make this first post a short one. I will also go back in time and add a slideshow from the Winter Solstice last year.
Sam, John, and I decided we would get our taste of winter camping by going to Mary Jane Thurston Park in Grand Rapids, OH. We had a late start, not getting to our site until about 4pm. Since it was the shortest day of the year, we didn't have much light to work with. It was still quite enjoyable, and I was more than warm enough.
